About me
Kia ora, I'm Rose Barnes - I live in Māpua, Nelson and am originally from Invercargill. As a community-minded person I love being involved in local activities.
Growing up in a large family I appreciate that whānau come in all shapes and sizes. Ceremony and tradition have always been a big part of my life, I relish the opportunity to be a part of a wide variety of celebrations old and new!
I am happy to travel for celebrations and love the idea of curating an event personalised to your needs.
My approach
Aroha/love is the crucial element of any ceremony, and all ceremonies are a celebration. Helping people and being involved with my clients on such a personal level is a privilege. As a trained Celebrant, I enjoy the creative process of planning a personalised celebration, and bringing that knowledge to make your ceremony special.
Known in my community for my empathy, efficient organisation and kindness, I always include a sense of humour in my work! I understand the importance of loved ones coming together in times of celebration and I look forward to chatting to you about how to make your day meaningful.
